at the Olympiahalle in Munich [Germany] on 28th November, 1974, with The Ikettes and The Family Vibes. Billed as "Ike & Tina Turner's Thank You Concert", the show was a one-off charity show in aid of needy kindergartens in Munich. The Munich concert came at the end of a long European in support of the
Sweet Rhode Island Red
album, an album created exclusively for the international market. Recorded at Bolic Sound Studios in Inglewood, and produced by Ike Turner, the album was released in October 1974 just prior to the European tour by United Artists. A majority of the songs from the album were written by Tina Turner, including the title track which was released as a single in February 1974, peaking at #43 on the
Billboard
R&B chart.
The poster measures 59.2 x 83.3 cm (approx. 23.3" by 33" inches) and is beautifully printed in red ink on thin, matte-coated paper stock. In excellent unfolded condition with light edge wear to the top border. P
