    Description

    CHUCK WEPNER autographed 3x5 index card.
    Known as the "The Bayonne Bleeder," Mr. Wepner boxed professionally from 1964-78.  As the New Jersey State Heavyweight Boxing Champion, he fought George Foreman and Sonny Liston.  In 1975, he lost a decision to Muhammad Ali for the World Heavyweight Championship, though he scored a knockdown in the fight that went the distance (15 rounds).  Mr.
    Wepner has been credited as the inspiration for the successful "Rocky" film series, featuring Sylvester Stallone.
    We obtained the signature directly from Mr. Wepner through the mail.
