In what would end up being the final year of this series of quarters the 2 mints combined to issue just over 7 million, Philadelphia accounting for 5.6 million. Yet most of these would not make it into circulation for another 2 years as ones from 28 and 29 had not fully been circulated yet. If today's daily amount minted were only 7 million it would probably be rare to see one.
